You know those days when its just a great day?... It was one of those for me. I am heavily influenced by creativity, passion, zeal for life and being happy. I have an insane dream/ passion to have a job where I am driven creatively and pushed towards accomplishing all of these crazy dreams that are floating around in my brain. I have been blessed to see people accomplish wonderful dreams in my life and I cant help but want the same for myself. And today, I realized that those crazy creative dreams of mine might actually get to come true here in texas... I never thought that would happen.

And even if it doesn't all work out... it was a great day filled with creative people who love their jobs and their lives. And i might have even felt like skipping this afternoon. Yes, i did. I definitely felt like skipping.

So while I was sitting at my desk today I looked down at my calendar and realized that it is exactly one week until thanksgiving holidays commence... which sadly means 3 days off opposed to the eternity of holidays associated with what I formerly referred to as the start of christmas break/ endless sorority parties/ and maybe a few finals. But anyways, I am excited nonetheless. After convincing my brother to not go to the UT/A&M game we will now all be under one roof for turkey day craziness. And let me tell you- its usually somewhat crazy.

You see my Grandmother is the Queen of holidays in my family. She hosts every one of them without a glitch and complete with every form of my favorite dish. And around 3 years ago my mom decided that she would take over Thanksgiving which is fine... but different {and let me tell you that my brother and I dont really like change when it comes to holiday plans.} I'm sure that some of you agree with me....

Anyways, heres some holiday decor to get the season started. Bring on the 5 day work day countdown. I am ready to see nacogdoches...

How was your weekend? I would never say that mine was better than yours, but it truly was a wonderful, blissfully happy weekend. I celebrated the wedding of two of my closest friends {it was actually the fifth wedding in six weeks but who's counting?} These two people are a perfect example of perfect timing and perseverance. These two know hardship and they know how to love well. It was seriously inspiring to be amongst them this weekend.

She's married to Chris Martin, best friends with Stella McCartney, writes a famous blog, has a daughter named apple... and rocks anything she ever wears. I love her. She is my ultimate celeb crush... and her new movie looks like it might have potential to be my favorite one yet.

I seriously have watched the trailer 20 times today. It looks so good... Just take a little peak for yourself.

We headed to the Hotel Belmont in Oak Clif on Thursday for

in Dallas and I was completely in awe of her kind nature and adorable personality.

She spoke to everyone about her Easter plans and George and the girls... so cute.

Look what I found... sparkle keds. Alice + Olivia has teamed up with keds to create a limited edition line for Neiman Marcus and Alice + Olivia. They should be hitting stores any day now {yay!} I have in the past been a very devoted keds wearer, averaging around four pairs during my college years. I think they will be making a comeback in my wardrobe :) I do love anything that sparkles.

This is soooo cool. It isn't an actual product yet, only a concept... but how fun would it be to send 'snail mail' with a map of where the mail was traveling. The addresses are even located in the correct spots: brilliant. I personally love to receive mail and I can only imagine my excitement if the envelope was a map. Pretty darn cute and smart if you ask me... what will google think of next?

I just got back from a perfect southern weekend in Charleston, South

Carolina. And if you have never been... you need to go immediately.

Not to be dramatic but IT IS THE BEST TOWN IN AMERICA.

I am completely obsessed with the culture and the food... oh my gosh,

the food will change your life completely. From fried green tomatoes to

shrimp and grits- it is soooo good.

I got to witness bridge run 2k10 across the cooper river bridge,

drive through old downtown and stare "wide eyed" at the most

amazing porches that I have ever seen. Houses are pink and blue

and yellow and just plain happy. The beach is also a lovely 15 minutes

away- do you see why this is the best place ever?? I will just show

you what I mean... and there are also candy stores everywhere.

A few weeks ago KB introduced me to lipstick. Apparently it is the staple of the working girl {cough cough, I think I need a job to be a "working girl" but at least I am ready if that comes along.} I was also tired of looking unbelievably washed out in every single picture of myself, the joys of winter and fair skin. So I began the perfect shade of lipstick hunt... and then I saw this ad.* I love it. She looks flawlessly beautiful, fair skin and all. I bought the new Chanel Rouge Allure lipstick in Comedia. And, I have to tell you that I am now a fan of lipstick. {Sandra Bullock at the Oscars also convinced me... She was wearing the new Chanel Rouge lipstick too.} And thanks to KB, I am now a believer in lipstick and a belieber too.

*Disclaimer: I am a marketing major so I really appreciate a good ad and packaging and anything that is basically aesthetically pretty.

I am in the process of interviewing at Anthropologie right now {with hopes and dreams of being in the visual department... crossing my fingers behind my back and praying a lot.} Just look at these displays... they are incredible, inspiring, and I am blown away by all of them. I would go as far to say that I kind of want to live inside of an Anthropologie, specifically the one at Rockefeller Center. It's a magical experience inside that store. I could at one time probably spend up to 3 hours just looking at the visuals.

I officially moved into my new home on Saturday. Its a perfect little house with girly little touches everywhere... its only downfall- the current color of my bedroom. Its pale yellow, or actually it might be white mixed with yellow- yuck. I am dying for some light grey walls people. Grey walls have become my bedroom go to color and I have had them in my past three rooms. I told myself that I wasn't going to paint but I might have to change my mind on that one :)

I spent this past monday and tuesday in the air with JetBlue Airways and if you have never flown JetBlue... you should. It is the best airline: endless snacks, roomie seats, and personal television the ENTIRE flight. It was flying bliss, which was such a treat since I was in the air on Monday and Tuesday. I flew to close the doors on nyc and enjoy dinner with youngk. We had a total 14 hours together which included 7 hours of sleep = crazy trip for me. I returned with two packed suitcases, closure on the empire state, and my mac back :) I have missed this computer and so has my blog.

I love her. and will miss her so much.

That's right people! My wildest dreams are coming true- anthropologie is starting their own wedding line to be previewed in Spring 2011. The line is starting out as an online endeavor and then moving into select stores. And dont you worry, its going to have products that cover the entire spectrum... gowns, invitations, shoes, accessories, bridesmaids, etc. I am seriously so excited about this... and thankful that someone is revamping the bridesmaid's dress market. I am still baffled that people think that mid calf is an attractive length for a dress?

I have to tell you that this week has been quite an interesting one back in the lone star state... highlight of my week would have to be the "donny dallas" event last night at Neimans. I have never seen so many blazers, tiny dogs in shoulder bags or light blue button downs in my life. Thank goodness they were serving champagne by the bottle (kidding). And we got to sort of see Nicole Richie from a distance and feel like Dallas socialites minus the money and botox and tiny dogs in designer sweaters... And after seeing Nicole last night I want to say that yes, she is the smallest person I have ever seen. How has she had two children??

"The Evolution of Type"... have you seen this yet? It classifies fonts throughout life. I think I am in the 'typewriter' phase of life? My favorite tag line has to be curlz {my slumber party will be the kewlest} or arial {i cannot believe you use "times new roman" so default of you.} And then it progresses down through serif and sans serif for the art school phases... I am a dork but I love this... and curlz hands down reminds me of drill team. I am positive that I have a zebra print sweatshirt somewhere to prove it.

I am going to be honest. I ADORE Target, actually I am obsessed with Target. I love their clothes, shoes, special little products, but I am obsessed with their home decor section. I stalk their website to see when their new designers are hitting the store. I will admit it... I have an addiction to Target. I even think that I would be perfectly happy working there {just in the store, red shirt and khaki pants.} And if I dont find a job soon... I may end up there. Its not funny... dont laugh.

the new 90 calorie baby coca cola

*disclaimer: i have recently tried over and over again to give up my love for americas favorite soft drink... and yes, i have failed every single time. i did actually make it a week at one point but then i gave in [again]. so... i was ecstatic when i discovered this cute little coca cola at the grocery store. its only 90 calories and itty bitty funsize plus coca cola supports the olympics and i love the olympics, which makes me think that i must drink them right now?

Guess what? Its snowing again... I understand that I may be one of the few people in the world that is not excited about this snowy surprise in Texas but I feel that the end of February in Texas usually means spring. I live in Texas for this very reason...it is one of the reasons that NY and I broke up. I am dreaming of sunshine and sonic drinks with the windows down. Puhlease hurry up spring! And the "spring break section" at Target is not helping this inkling for warmer weather... its my first non florida trip in four years. You would think that at least Texas could cooperate with this issue. Here's to march... may you bring warmth. xoxo

**these words have brought an immense amount of comfort to my life these past few days...it is hard for me to fathom that Paul knew how to perfectly and beautifully pray for the Colossians, without having ever met them... if only I could be as faithful in my prayer life with the people that I live along side daily.

I will be enjoying mexican food, my friends and my family in TWO DAYS!

Oh Texas... it is really the little things that I am missing

like driving my car and NOT wearing a massive coat,

gloves, scarf and a million layers everytime I walk outside.

*and despite the huge crime of fashion that UGG boots have become-

they will be making a trip to NY on Sunday... I need them in my life.

I tried to not need them but I do. I am also looking to bring a

its been one of those weeks...

i think i became a grown up this week.

i am not kidding. i am pretty sure that somehow

between last friday and today... i became a grown up.

it probably has something to do with working a 10 -7

job in new york city at a massive ad agency...

and seeing a friend go through an extremely

scary time with her dad. i love you kb.

so... this cd has been a bit of a saving grace.

i do not like to feel helpless and yesterday when

i received a phone call about one of my best friend's

dad having a heart attack- i felt helpless.

nyc couldnt have felt farther away...
