trees + fall

via me and central park

finally.

i just said farewell to texas a&m for the next FIVE days. yep... and i am beyond excited. well actually i am beyond excited about a few things, TONIGHT i get to have a sleepover with katie c and katie b and then we {kitty and myself} are headed to nac town tomorrow. I LOVE GOING HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS! there is nothing better in the world... right?

and then all of that thanksgiving goodness awaits... did you know that i love dressing. looovvvvvveeeeeee it meaning i eat it for days and days after thanksgiving! plus i heard on the radio today that if your favorite part of thanksgiving is dressing, then you are a traditional person with a flare for adventure and a spark of wild behavior. [i love that...]

new york recap.

is it too much to say that i love that city.
the weather, the people, the atmosphere, the energy, the love,
the need for truth, the style, the work ethic, the ecclecticism?,
the feeling of being alive, of working for something greater
than myself... i love new york city.

I had the opportunity to meet with five different companies
while I was in town.  Each one had something completely
different to offer... each one was a truly nyc company.
From magazines, to events, to music... they were fun.

I was also SO very lucky to see tons of texans, aggies,
new yorkers, friends! while I was in town.  To say the least,
people made sure I loved every second of my trip.
From college friends to intern friends- it was a blast.
I felt recharged, energized, and excited.  I still feel this way.
I am ready for January.  I only hope that New York is
ready for me... still crossing my fingers.

::out of town::

I am currently procrastinating packing for my trip- i leave town at 10 am tomorrow morning and not one single thing has been folded, packed, crossed off my list, and the last minute target run has been postponed until morning... its going to be an early Wednesday morning around here. {its always early for kcrawf :)}  In my defense, I have not packed because I have no idea what to take to new york for the fall. I have meetings on Thursday, its supposed to rain :(. For those of you who aren't familiar with new york rain, its terrible. {I am certain that it actually rains sideways causing any umbrella to turn inside out, along with turning your choice of footwear into water shoes = not fun at all for interviews}. And then I am also having trouble deciding what forty degrees means in regards to outerwear.  In Texas, it would mean uggs, scarf, heaviest jacket owned, and possibly gloves? I'm not sure that it means that in nyc. And don't worry friends, my uggs are not making the interview trip... maybe next time? To wrap up this meaningless post, I would love your prayers for this trip. I am meeting with a lot of people about everything in regard to my future life in new york. Back in Texas on Sunday, crossing my fingers for some big news! {I would absolutely love it if you would cross yours too? Thanks!}

owloween withdrawal

Lastnight, I had "owloween" withdrawal.  I was envious of everyone that got to dress up in a ridiculous costume and hang out with their friends for the night.  I missed the amish costumes, the robots, the jamaican bobsled team, the goths... and all those c. vines costumes.  So friends, what are you being for halloween? Right now my top contender is Taylor Swift due to the fact that I love her and I will take any excuse to wear a sparkly silver dress and cowboy boots... Thoughts? Ideas are welcome.
Happy Owloween! hoot hoot

wild thing, i think i love you

TONIGHT at MIDNIGHT!
i will not be seeing it at that time but
i will see it this weekend if i feel better.
i love the tag line and the movie posters,
"there's one in all of us."
in my opinion, this is one of the best
marketing campaigns for a movie that i
have seen in a really long time.  kudos producers!
new york even experienced where the wild things are
movie week with activities all over the city.
i couldn't find anything like that in college station-
and another point goes to the big apple.

Obama in Aggieland

He is here in Texas!
{not in Austin, in College Station}
Roads are closed. Airports are on lockdown.
Only the "cool important people" have been invited.
not me.

I pray that people are not idiots tomorrow.
I can only imagine the stunts that some
people (conservative republicans) here are thinking of...
Dear college students, please please please
do not embarrass our university.
We are already known as the the
number one conservative school
in the nation... Lets be smart Aggies!

Welcome to Aggieland, Mr President.

i love this layout.
