She's turning the big 23 today and I am so excited

to celebrate her this evening with mexican food

and friends and patio time. The funniest thing about all

of these nicknames is that she will be loosing them soon.

You see, my little crawfy is getting married in 3

weeks. THREE weeks! What a lucky man her fiance...

Friday and not today.  She has now been 23 for three

whole days. These pics are not from her birthday

but they do sum up her perfectly. This was a karoake 

adventure of ours a few weeks ago. And congrats to KB,

she got a new job as a kindergarten teacher :)

Texas, I will see you in two days!

I will be enjoying mexican food, my friends and my family in TWO DAYS!

Oh Texas... it is really the little things that I am missing

like driving my car and NOT wearing a massive coat, 

gloves, scarf and a million layers everytime I walk outside. 

*and despite the huge crime of fashion that UGG boots have become- 

they will be making a trip to NY on Sunday... I need them in my life.

 I tried to not need them but I do. I am also looking to bring a 

roommate back with me this weekend... any takers?

Yesterday I realized that I am not leaving New York. This is my new home... I have been told that I will feel like I am on vacation for a year- I believe it.  So as I was roaming the city feeling like I would never find a job, apt or have a life here... I checked the mail.  I had letters... lots of letters from best friends.  They were each filled with pieces of my friends and home and prayers and wishes.  Thank you friends. YOU GUYS ARE THE BEST. two thousand & ten

this past week, i spent about 5 days in dallas with most of my

best friends... i have decided to call it my "tour de tejas"

since the main point of it was to say my goodbyes...

we ventured to victory park in freezing temperatures,

survived some creepers looking for a NYE kiss

and spent a lot of time with the karaoke machine.

why hello there christmas break...

i took my last final this afternoon... its a strange feeling. i am still scared that something crazy is going to happen but- at least i am done for now. katie and i started packing today, its a bizarre and frightening feeling to know that life is pretty much about to change and i mean REALLY change. as i was packing tonight, i got really sad... i miss old college life. i miss my friends. i miss the 'carefree days."  i miss ayrshire and our giant christmas tree... i miss knowing that i was leaving for christmas and coming back for spring in college station. i miss you guys. {and now i am crying...}

i think all of these feelings are also stemming from the new york move. its here. its happening. and i am already cold just thinking about it. once christmas is celebrated and new years (by the way, i have big dreams this year for nye) i will finalize my departure date but i am thinking january 12-15. one month from tomorrow- scary? yes and fun.  "the big girl days" are here.  i am now officially on the job hunt 24 hours a day. 7 days a week.  lets do this...

it began a little unusually for me...

 hit up the pilates class at the rec.

that you just laughed a little to yourself...
time is not being wasted here my friends. not at all

can you believe december arrives tomorrow.

if only we were bringing in december as usual...

new york recap.

is it too much to say that i love that city.

the weather, the people, the atmosphere, the energy, the love, 

the need for truth, the style, the work ethic, the ecclecticism?,

the feeling of being alive, of working for something greater 

than myself... i love new york city. 

I had the opportunity to meet with five different companies

while I was in town.  Each one had something completely

different to offer... each one was a truly nyc company.

From magazines, to events, to music... they were fun.

I was also SO very lucky to see tons of texans, aggies, 

new yorkers, friends! while I was in town.  To say the least, 

people made sure I loved every second of my trip. 

From college friends to intern friends- it was a blast.

I felt recharged, energized, and excited.  I still feel this way.

I am ready for January.  I only hope that New York is 

ready for me... still crossing my fingers.

owloween withdrawal

Lastnight, I had "owloween" withdrawal.  I was envious of everyone that got to dress up in a ridiculous costume and hang out with their friends for the night.  I missed the amish costumes, the robots, the jamaican bobsled team, the goths... and all those c. vines costumes.  So friends, what are you being for halloween? Right now my top contender is Taylor Swift due to the fact that I love her and I will take any excuse to wear a sparkly silver dress and cowboy boots... Thoughts? Ideas are welcome.

a wonderful weekend

This past weekend was a whirlwind. A crazy, funny, perfect weekend.  I spent Saturday on Cedar Creek Lake with a handful of my best friends.  I think it is safe to say that Texas summers are meant for Texas lakes. Hands down, my favorite thing to do in the summer.  While on the lake, we decided to construct cheerleading stunts on a moving intertube. {a very fast moving intertube with 4 clumsy girls aboard}. I do believe that we are all in serious pain three days later... but the hysterical laughter made it soooooo worth it.

i do not believe that we looked this good as we were flying off...

i am still laughing about it.
