so long summer.

It has arrived... my last day of summer {insert sad music}. Although my roomie started student teaching on Monday, I start school this next week. I shouldn't really complain, I only have 6 hours left until I have a degree!... but the thought of summer ENDING is pretty depressing. It hasn't been the summer I was expecting and looking back on it, it does seem like it lasted for a pretty good bit.  I feel like I can confidently say that I have grown up. In the past two months, I have...

-acquired a job {that will continue on through December}

-Stopped eating out all the time...

-Decided that I AM MOVING TO NYC in January!

- And got into a workout routine {well, I did that in June}

American Royalty

News is "breaking" everywhere regarding the death of Senator Ted Kennedy.  He is the last remaining Kennedy brother, and well, he has lived quite a life.  One of the last great American politicians... and many would argue, American Royalty. I have a fascination with the Kennedy family.  Their lives intrigue me.  And they are so very handsome, dare I say, dashing! I think so...

a wonderful weekend

This past weekend was a whirlwind. A crazy, funny, perfect weekend.  I spent Saturday on Cedar Creek Lake with a handful of my best friends.  I think it is safe to say that Texas summers are meant for Texas lakes. Hands down, my favorite thing to do in the summer.  While on the lake, we decided to construct cheerleading stunts on a moving intertube. {a very fast moving intertube with 4 clumsy girls aboard}. I do believe that we are all in serious pain three days later... but the hysterical laughter made it soooooo worth it.

i am still laughing about it.

I have returned from new york... and it was amazing.

The weather was wonderful, the people were fun and 

the food was incredible! {it was soooooo good.} 

One of the highlights of my trip was without a doubt

seeing the sartorialist snapping away on the lower 

east side.  I kind of freaked out when I spotted him.

This will not shock most of you... I have a girl crush on Gwyneth Paltrow.  I feel that most of my friends have their 'it' girl that they love. And in my eyes, Mrs. Chris Martin can do no wrong.  I almost want to chop all my hair off. 

sleepovers at 22

i just love them

college pretty much ended two and a half months ago... well, it ended for almost all of my friends. i am a measly six hours short. since may, i have been missing them all very much. after much consideration, i have decided that out of everything, i miss the nightly sleepovers the most. laying in bed and talking with them for hours, watching movies until two a.m., eating cookies daily, and knowing every little thing about their days. oh college, why did you have to end?

so lastnight, a nactown sleepover was held. it was just one of those nights that was good for the soul. cheesy movies were watched, late night junk food was consumed and tons of random stories were shared. i havent seen these two together since mid may and we had a lot of catching up to do. i love you both. heres to our friendship lasting another ten years!
